Diese Marke haben in der englischen Football League vor Aston Villa erst drei Clubs erreicht: die Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester United und Liverpool. Villa und die Wolverhampton Wanderers waren 1888 unter den zwölf Gründungsmitgliedern der Football League.

Zu dumm nur, dass sie ihr Jubiläumstor nicht selber geschossen haben, es handelte sich nämlich um ein Eigentor von Liverpools Fabio Aurelio …
