Iain Dowie ist neuer Trainer bei Hull City. Wie lange hält er sich?

Iain Dowie, im Bild links noch als Assistenztrainer bei Newcastle United, ist seit heute verantwortlich für die Mission Ligaerhalt bei Hull City. Eine grosse Herausforderung, meinte Dowie, aber er sei zuversichtlich:

It’s about getting the best out that squad. The tenacity and desire that was shown against Arsenal will be paramount. When we’re in possession we need to be a bit more creative and make sure that we have more attempts on goal. We have to make teams defend.

Wenn Fussball doch nur so einfach wäre.

Iain Dowie hat in seiner Trainerkarriere noch nicht viel gewonnen. Dafür ist er Sack-Race-Experte: 2006 war er nach zwölf Runden der erste entlassene Trainer in der Premier League, 2008 widerfuhr ihm nach 15 Runden dieselbe zweifelhafte Ehre in der Championship.

Hoffen wir, dass die ‹Tigers› mehr Geduld haben.
